Our charming coastal cottage is a hidden gem within the exclusive community of Laguna Beach. Built in the 1920’s, our project was designated a historical building and as a result, we had to adhere to the strict remodeling and building codes set forth by the city.
Bringing the dilapidated structure up to code was no small feat. Tasked to maintain the same roof and sight lines, we rebuilt the missing foundation and plumbing, rewired the electrical, installed a fire-sprinkler system and reconfigured the interior to make better use of 700 square foot space.
In doing so, we maintained the historical integrity of the structure and property while outfitting the home to endure well into the future.
